SPMRU UGM aims to provide the best services for the satisfaction of the academic community and stakeholders through the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System, specifically in the field of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) of Universitas Gadjah Mada as a World-Class University. It is also committed to developing an excellent Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) at the national and regional levels, well-recognized internationally.
SPMRU, along with other functional units, enhances the quality of resources, governance, and services.
The implementation of quality assurance at the university level is carried out through the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). SPMI is a systemic activity of educational quality assurance by universities to oversee higher education provision by the universities themselves consistently. The term “overseeing” means planning, implementation, control, and continuous development/improvement of the university’s quality standards for the satisfaction of stakeholders.
Universitas Gadjah Mada has obtained an Excellent accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The quality assurance system at Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing is a subsystem of the quality assurance system at UGM. However, we have also modified some organizational and procedural frameworks according to our specific situation.
The implementation of quality assurance at the University and Faculty levels includes activities such as Internal Quality Audit (AMI). The AMI activity is conducted annually to assess the quality of the academic management of study programs.

At the study program level, each program must develop the quality of graduate competencies. The study program follows the competencies set by the Association of Indonesian Nursing Education Institutions Center (AINEC) by adding UGM’s competency signatures.
Each block is evaluated by the Block Coordination Team (TKB) and the Quality Assurance (QA) team, which consists of tutor evaluations, scenario evaluations, and block lectures evaluations. The evaluation results are discussed by the TKB along with the Year Coordinator and the QA team as a basis for identifying action plans for the following year. Block Evaluation Reports are submitted to the Year Coordinator, PD, and UJM.
The Nursing Science Study Program (Undergraduate) and the Master’s Program in Nursing have been accredited A by LAM-PTKes and certified AUN-QA.
