Profile of Department

The Department of Mental Health and Community Nursing at FK-KMK UGM is one of the four nursing departments within FK-KMK. Like other departments at FK-KMK, the Department of Mental Health and Community Nursing was established in 2016 and consists of two divisions: the Mental Health Nursing Division and the Community Nursing Division. Currently, the Department of Mental Health and Community Nursing has 12 faculty members supported by 4 educational staff members. Department Excellence

Flagship programs in the Department of Mental Health and Community Nursing include:

  1. Study on mental health care in the community through Community Mental Health Nursing (CMHN) and the application of self-concept assessment.
  2. Study on providing psychiatric nursing care in hospitals using ISDA application with 3N (NANDA, NIC, NOC) and 3S (SDKI, SIKI, SLKI).
  3. Study on mental health in disaster areas with disaster services.
  4. Development of home care.
  5. Comprehensive scientific development in collaboration with local governments and health departments.
  6. Study on Complementary and alternative therapies (such as Su Jok).
