BIOSKETCH
Anggi Lukman Wicaksana is a faculty member in the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). He is a registered nurse since 2011. Mr. Wicaksana has clinical experiences in Dr. Soetomo hospital and Darmo hospital (Surabaya), Dr. Sardjito hospital (Yogyakarta) and several academic health systems of UGM. Moreover, he has field experiences in nursing practice at National Cheng Kung University hospital (Taiwan), National Taiwan University hospital (Taiwan), Chiba University hospital (Japan), and Royal Children Hospital Melbourne (Australia). Currently, his responsibilities are the coordinator team block of nutrition (1.5) and physical activity and energy balance (2.2), a coordinator of nursing skill for third semester, a coordinator for community services in his department, staff in the Sleman Health and Demographic Surveillance System, and an editorial board in the Journal of Community Empowerment for Health.
Mr. Wicaksana has been actively conducting research, publication and community services since 2012. His research interests focus on diabetes care and evidence-based practice. He extensively investigates topics in the area of care for patients with endocrine and metabolic diseases, chronic diseases management and prevention, and health behaviors. His works have been published in international and national journals as well as the scientific conferences. As an academician, he contributes as a peer reviewer in the international and national journals and actively participates in some scientific societies such as the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of the Republic of China and the Indonesian Diabetes Educator Association.
