BIOSKETCH
Elsi Dwi Hapsari, S.Kp., M. S, D. S. completed her undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta, in 2000 and earned her Master of Science degree in 2007 and her Doctor of Science degree in nursing in 2010 from the Graduate School of Health Sciences, Kobe University, Japan.
She has been working as a nursing lecturer in the Department of Pediatric and Maternity Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMPN UGM) since 2000. Her specialty is in maternity nursing. Her research mainly focuses on mother and child health in disaster situations. Until now, she has published 31 articles in Scopus-indexed journals, receiving 9 awards, holds 1 national patent and more than 15 national intellectual rights. Since January 2026 she was appointed as the secretary of the Master of Nursing Program, FMPN UGM.
In national level, she is actively involved in the development of the nursing profession in Indonesia by serving as the head of the Research Department at the Central Board of the Indonesian National Nurses Association (INNA) since 2015. Her role involves formulating policies aimed at enhancing research capacity and optimizing publications, including journals, proceedings, and conferences, for Indonesian nurses. Since 2024, she has been appointed as a member of the Indonesian College of Nursing, where one of her roles involves forming the Indonesian nursing competency after the enactment of the Omnibus Health Law. In 2025, she represented the INNA in the International Council of Nurses Congress in Helsinki, Finland and represented the Indonesian College of Nursing in the 111th Meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Services and Related Meeting in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
